Enterprise performance management –

Enterprise performance management ,how to improve the company’s productivity with the help of new technologies?

In a global refrigerator manufacturing company, a robot was the standard for testing the strength of door openings and closings. In all factories in the world, a device was installed to test the strength of selected refrigerators. Almost all of them. Apart from Poland. Here it turned out that it is more profitable to hire an employee who will perform the same work for 8 hours a day. Fortunately, such practices are becoming a thing of the past. Technologies are cheaper and, as a result, enterprise performance management is increasingly being digitized.

New technologies

According to the data of the FOR 1 foundation from 2018. the total investments of enterprises in digital solutions exceed PLN 180 billion over the last 25 years. Between 1993 and 2016, digitization increased our economic growth by a total of 10-15 percent. It turns out that, to a large extent, this is not only due to companies from the modern technology sector.

The results of the above-mentioned study show that new technologies have the greatest impact on the company’s productivity (as much as 70 percent) in traditional business sectors. Nevertheless, the area of   high technology in Poland is still relatively small, it generates only 4% of GDP, which is very different from such European giants as Ireland or Sweden.

How to improve the company’s productivity?

Enterprise performance management in the context of digitization, today focuses primarily on the automation of the simplest activities, procedures and rationalization of time management in an organization. In the manufacturing, services or trade sector, it is visible primarily in complex IT systems that constantly expand their capabilities.

Next to them, the entire market of specialized applications focused on the company’s productivity has grown up: office, accounting, administrative, sales and marketing. Data collection, analysis and reporting systems are already largely integrated with each other. The huge amount of data at the disposal of companies requires their organization and automation in reports. The role of a human being is to draw conclusions and make decisions.

Company performance management

Today, digitization affects virtually every area of   the company. It also plays a special role in human resource management, where the amount of so-called “paperwork” can be very large. Businesses are still collecting documents in the form of giant paper archives, and it’s high time to change that. Digitization comes to the rescue.

An example of a solution in this field is Teta HR – a system that allows easy and quick updating of documents by adding them to the software – by filling in an application in the system or entering scanned documentation. Each document can be signed using a qualified certificate. The system allows you to build an archive of employee files in a digital form. Thanks to this, employees and managers have constant access to the files at any time. Documentation does not require additional security,

 Artificial intelligence

The digitization of enterprises and full digitization of data enable the introduction of technology based on artificial intelligence. AI-based solutions can relieve employees of tedious or monotonous tasks, and in addition they perform them much faster and more accurately. Digitization largely eliminates repetitive, mechanical activities, sometimes not requiring special skills.

Once an employee had to manually enter data from a document directly into the system, today scanning solutions and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) systems solve this problem. However, the essence of artificial intelligence and its work for the company’s efficiency is primarily the optimization of various management processes thanks to algorithms. The role of man is increasingly becoming non-mechanical data analysis,
